What Is It Like To Work With Me?

I understand how it feels to be uncomfortable in your own skin, especially after an invasive and painful procedure like surgery. I've made it my mission to assist women suffering from gynecological and pelvic floor disorders in recovering from surgeries such as hysterectomy, endo excision, and myomectomy. As a result, they have control over their bodies and can walk through life with the assurance they deserve.

That is why I offer two types of programs in working with me, so you can get the assistance and support you require to live the life you deserve! Working with me during your hysterectomy recovery is a decision you will not regret. Whether you choose my one-on-one or group program, I am committed to assisting you in reaching your goals and regaining confidence in your body.

We'll dive deep into specific recovery needs through biweekly Zoom sessions, covering a wide range of topics such as exercise recommendations, scar care, bladder and bowel care, and resuming healthy sexual function. My goal is to provide you with all of the tools and knowledge you need to succeed.

But the help does not stop there! With the user-friendly training app "Everfit," you can conveniently track your progress and workouts between sessions. In addition, I promise to be there for you every step of the way. You can contact me at any time with any questions or to seek advice on your goals, as your success is our top priority.

You won't have to worry about proper form - I've got you covered! Use our video form checks to ensure you're performing exercises correctly and safely.

By the end of the program, you will feel empowered, confident, and capable of taking on the world of health and fitness… without pain, prolapse or peeing yourself. We’ll work together to make exercise enjoyable and pain-free.

Different Surgery Types

To better tailor the program to your specific needs, please select from the following dropdown options based on your surgery type:

  • A hysterectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the uterus, often performed to treat various medical conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, uterine prolapse, chronic pelvic pain, and cancer. Depending on the reason for the surgery and the specific circumstances, a hysterectomy can be total (removing the entire uterus, including the cervix) or partial (removing the upper part of the uterus while leaving the cervix in place). This surgery can be life-changing and, while it often brings relief from significant health issues, it also requires a thoughtful and supported recovery process.

  • Endometriosis is a chronic condition where tissue similar to the lining inside the uterus, called endometrium, starts to grow outside the uterus. It is a lifetime disorder and while symptoms can be managed via surgery, surgery is not a cure. Endometriosis can lead to severe pain, heavy periods, and infertility. It commonly affects the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and the tissue lining the pelvis but can impact almost any tissue in the body. Endometriosis can significantly impact quality of life, but surgical intervention, such as endometriosis excision surgery, can provide relief and help manage symptoms.

  • Prolapse repair is a surgical procedure to correct pelvic organ prolapse, a condition where organs like the bladder, uterus, or rectum descend into or outside of the vaginal canal due to weakened pelvic floor muscles and connective tissue. This condition can cause discomfort, urinary issues, and difficulties with bowel movements. Prolapse repair surgery aims to restore the normal position of the pelvic organs, alleviating symptoms and improving quality of life. There are many different procedures that can be a part of a prolapse repair, depending on the severity of your symptoms and what area(s) of your pelvic floor are affected.

  • A myomectomy is a surgical procedure to remove uterine fibroids, which are noncancerous growths in the uterus. Fibroids can cause symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and fertility issues. Unlike a hysterectomy, a myomectomy preserves the uterus, making it a preferred option for women who wish to retain their fertility. The surgery can be performed using various techniques, including abdominal, laparoscopic, and hysteroscopic myomectomy, depending on the size, number, and location of the fibroids.

  • Preparing for surgery is a vital step to ensure the best possible outcome and a smoother recovery process. Whether you’re undergoing a hysterectomy, endometriosis excision, prolapse repair, or myomectomy (fibroid removal), proper preparation can help reduce anxiety, improve surgical outcomes, and expedite your recovery.
