Are You Fit?

The women who choose to work with me do it because they have fitness goals, like:

  • Being able to get off the floor with their grandkids

  • Maintaining bone density

  • Skiing with their family

  • Jumping on a trampoline without peeing

  • Walking without back pain

All of these things are fitness.

If you’ve been dealing with things like

  • Anemia

  • Pain

  • Cramps

  • Repetitive injuries

  • Heavy bleeding

  • Extreme fatigue

... then you’ve probably lost some fitness, and recovering is about MORE than some rehab exercises.

It’s about rebuilding your whole self so you can feel like your best self.

So what are some good fitness levels to aim for after surgery?

  • Walk 7,000–8,000 steps a day

  • Jump for 30 seconds without pain, pressure, or peeing yourself

  • Do a push-up (bone density + core strength!)

  • Get on or off the floor without your hands

  • Carry heavy things without strain.

If you’ve been through some of the health struggles most of my clients struggle with, this will take more than 6 weeks.

For many of them, it takes 6–12 months…

but WOW, is it worth it. To know you’re doing everything in your power to protect your body, your pelvis, AND to live well as you get older... it’s magic.

For your confidence, your self-esteem, and your future.

I’d love to hear from you! Has your OBGYN ever encouraged you to think about long-term fitness? Educated you on the benefits of resistance training?
