Embracing The Complexity Of Healing
Healing after surgery or a major life change is rarely straightforward. It’s full of contradictions, and that’s okay.
Here’s something I want to remind you of today: Two things can be true at the same time.
You can feel better and still not quite feel like yourself.
You can feel better than you have in years and still have work to do to protect your pelvic floor.
You can be cleared for exercise and still not be ready for certain activities.
You can be glad you went through with it and still need support in your healing.
It’s important to give yourself permission to hold these truths simultaneously. Recovery isn’t always linear, and it’s okay to ask for help along the way.
If you're navigating these complex emotions and experiences, I’m here to support you on your journey.
